Now, for two decades, Dr. Wieselhuber & Partner has been working with companies, which are strategically, organizationally, socially and culturally family-owned entities. W&P has established itself as a consulting firm for family-owned businesses in Germany, one which has gained long-standing and comprehensive experience consulting family-owned businesses in a variety of industries. As a result, W&P possess a great deal of experience and skills. The difference between W&P and other international firms is that we do not only understand the special situations which family-owned businesses confront, know specific courses of action, and precisely implement them in a corporate organization, but rather we remain authentic. In contrast to the large international consulting monoliths, we do not only work with family-owned businesses in the practical and theoretical sense, but rather we too are a family-owned business.

The owner himself and the ownerīs family are the main focus of all of W&Pīs activities. Similarly, as with the owner and his family, we develop individual solutions for your corporate challenges. With regard to our portfolio of services, we offer you specialized types of services:

  • Management Dialog: The venue for competent decision makers and creative minds

    Our management dialog serves as a platform for competent decision makers and creative minds. It is here that management concepts are discussed and past experiences are shared. Our management dialog is primarily geared towards proprietors, managers and partners of family-owned businesses. This management dialog is designed so that participants from a variety of industries can share information about their own individual business experiences. Four times a year, we host various management forums. At these forums, the scope of the dialog remains informal.

  • In- House Seminars: Our special seminar offers

    Facilitating business discussions related to strategy with proprietors and managers is our daily business. Industry and strategy competence as well as experience with management ensures our acceptance and approval; thereby allowing for open discussion.

    We are happy to provide you with background information. We solicit suggestions for the content and agenda of our events according to our participant`s desired focus and objectives. In doing so, we cater our seminars precisely to your needs. Prior knowledge is unnecessary; in fact, we design our seminars according to the respective background of our participants.

    The optimal number of seminar participants varies depending on the seminarīs scope, but generally fluctuates between 10 and 15 participants per seminar. The focus of our in-house seminars is related to the management and organization of businessess:

    • Marketing management - capturing, creating, securing and expanding markets
    • Innovation management - New methods of operation. Product, process and strategic innovation

  • Management Advisory Board: You profit from our compotent network

    For the family-owned business, the advisory board - an external and independent board -- plays the role of sparring partner, moderator and idea generator. The advisory board; however, also plays the role of gatekeeper and watch dog. The current advisory board reality for many family-owned businesses is oftentimes inconsistent with the expectations of an independent and result-oriented supervisory and advisory board. The W&P Pool of potential advisory boards is comprised of more than 100 candidates with a wide range of qualifications. We want to bring family-owned businesses together quickly and in a goal-oriented manner. We go about this as follows:
    • As part of our consulting activities and in cooperation with our clientīs management team, we develop selection criteria for the composition of the respective advisory board.
    • Based on this newly developed criterion, W&P carries out an internal comparison with the existing advisory board criteria.
    • Based on your criteria, this comparison will result in the selection of relevant candidates.
    • In cooperation with the target firm, potential candidates are suggested. If necessary, also the inital rank of candidates and/or further development of the advisory board rankings.


  • Manager Training: Strategic Management Experience

    The successors of family-owned businesses are often Janus-faced heirs. On the one hand, young managers, having been exposed to the business since an early age, are familiar with the business and its services. As a result, these young managers have a head start. On the other hand, this historical attachment makes it considerably harder for them emerge from the shadows of their seniors and to establish their own management style.

    As a result, it is even more important to gain both professional experience and insight into the wide corporate landscape.
